Founded by lifelong horse owners Sam and Rachael Yoder, Oak Ridge Stables blends generations of horsemanship with modern, attentive animal care practices.
Sam Yoder — Lifelong Horseman & Morgan Horse Heritage
Sam Yoder has been handling horses since before he could walk, growing up in a family of Morgan horse owners and breeders. His early exposure to breeding, foaling, and daily horse management gave him a deep understanding of equine behavior, health, and long-term care needs.

Rachael Yoder — Experienced Horsewoman & Equine Care Advocate
Rachael Yoder has been an avid horsewoman for nearly 30 years, with experience across multiple riding disciplines and a primary background in hunter/jumper riding. While riding shaped her foundation, Rachael’s true passion lies in daily horse care, health management, and quality of life for every horse on the farm.

Our Story — From Small Homestead to Oak Ridge Stables
Sam and Rachael Yoder began their farming journey in 2016, shortly after getting married and starting their small homestead in Loudonville, Ohio. What began as a shared dream of country living has grown into a full-scale equine boarding operation.
The family recently relocated to their dream property in Perrysville, Ohio, where Oak Ridge Stables now spans over 30 acres of rolling pastureland. The farm offers horses ample turnout space, quiet surroundings, and a natural environment ideal for rest, growth, and long-term health. The property is also home to the family’s cats and chickens, reinforcing the warm, hands-on nature of the farm.
